After along talk with friends and alot of research i managed to make up my mind on progressive people. Progressive people are people who want to move on and not ever stop. They want to get better and better.

In a country a progressive person would want its country to move on and become better. They want the economy to grow and the country to modernize. Progressive people are good for a developing nation, because if it did not have progressive people then it will not move on or develop. If it does develop it develop really slowly.

Progressive people are good for a nation. They always want to get better and better ans so the country keeps also on getting better and better. A progressive thinker would have wanted more and more information on the topic or issue im writing about and so his or hers essay would have been much better. I think that if anyone wants to sucessed they have to learn how to become a progressive thinker.
U.S expands

Most countries think that imperialism is the beginning to becoming great. The American imperialism started in the late 1800s and into the 20th century.

The U.S did not expand just because they wanted to, they had causes. One of the causes was that the U.S wanted to learn foreign policies. They wanted this because these policies existed for a long time and so they have history. Another reason is because because they needed more natural resources, such as rubber and petroleum.

The U.S went through an age of imperialism, and one example is the purchase of Alaska from Russia. another example is penetrating into under developed nations. Also most importantly they had many bases around the world.

After having many causes for the U.S to have imperialism some good effects were expected. One of the effects is that they were offers for new "frontiers" for the Americans. Also America became much bigger than before.

Although imperialism sounds and looks good to some people and also some supported it like Albert J.Beveridge, it has a negative side. There are three arguments against imperialism moral and political arguments, racial arguments, and economic arguments. Moral and political arguments were the strongest argument for the anti imperialists. Expansionist’s behavior, the anti-imperialists asserted, was a rejection of the nation’s foundation of “liberty for all”. Other anti-imperialists saw racism imperialism and so went against it. “Had the Filipinos been white and fought as bravely as they have, the war would have been ended and their independence granted a long time ago.” ---Bishop Alexander Walters Anti-imperialists raised economic objections to expansionist policies. “We assume that what we like and practice, and what we think better, must come as a welcome blessing to Spanish-Americans and Filipinos. This is grossly and obviously untrue. They hate our ways. They are hostile to our ideas to our ideas. Our religion, language, institutions, and manners offend them.” --- William G. Summer, Yale University professor, in an 1898 speech.

In my opinion imperialism is great for the imperialistic nation but negative for the nations being taken over. If i was a nation and i had what it takes to be imperialistic i would be. So if any nation has the will and power to become imperialistic, i say go for it, because after it ends that nation will become enormously powerful.
